It is Time for the Annual Feed the Bay Food Drive! October 6th - 10th, 2025
Every year, Feed the Bay does a food drive. The food collected during this drive will go right back to students who need it.Items being collected at the buildings this year:
- Lottie, MacDonald, & Macone - Fruit Pouches
- Great Oaks & Ashley - Easy Mac and Cheese
- ABHS, Lighthouse, & Naldrett - Chef Boyardee
- Middle School North & South - Individual Cups or Boxes
Join partnering churches and organizations in collecting items for a community event called Christmas For Anchor Bay. This event is by invitation only and will be held on December 6 for families in need from the Anchor Bay School District. The event will offer fun activities for kids and families, shopping for gifts, games,books, and winter gear, pictures with Santa, breakfast or lunch, take home food, and more. Please join us in collecting items to make this unique event a success.
Anchor Bay will be collecting:
- Anchor Bay Early Childhood Center: Hats, mittens,gloves and scarves
- Ashley - Books (Preschool - 5th Grade)
- Great Oaks: Games
- Lighthouse: Books (6-12th grade)Lottie: Socks

- Anchor Bay High School: High School Age Gifts

We are asking parents to verify/update their student information through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please complete the Returning Student Annual Update forms no later than September 15,2025. These forms are located in the Parent Portal under Forms in the left navigation window, and then under the General Forms tab. The forms included in the update are:
- Health Information
- Student Address
- Student Contacts & Custody
- Permissions/Agreements
- Transportation Request Form
- Tribal Affiliation Data Collection - *NEW
ADDRESS CHANGES WITHIN DISTRICT
If your address has changed within Anchor Bay School District, please be sure to update the Student Address form and provide us with two (2) proofs of residency and your photo I.D. for the new address. Proofs of Residency can be uploaded through the form or they can be turned into your student’s school on or after August 13th.
MOVED OUT OF THE DISTRICT
If you have moved out of the Anchor Bay School District and want your student to continue enrollment through Anchor Bay Schools, please update the Student Address form and provide us with two (2) proofs of residency and your photo I.D. for the new address. Proofs of Residency can be uploaded through the form or they can be turned into your student’s school on or after August 13th. You will also need to complete the 2025-2026 Out of District Schools of Choice Application which is located under Forms in the left navigation window and then under the Enrollment tab in the Parent Portal. The Schools of Choice application window ends on August 15, 2025 at 3:30 p.m.
NOTE: If you have completed the Schools of Choice Application and been approved in a previous year, you do not need to complete the form again unless your student has left the district and now wants to return.

- Anchor Bay School District will begin the 2025-2026 school year before Labor Day, with the first day of school on August 27, 2025. We understand this is a significant change for some families, so we encourage everyone to mark their calendars and plan summer vacations accordingly. 2025-26 Calendar (For those who plan ahead, here is the 2026-27 Calendar too!)

The Anchor Bay Science Special has been recognized with a 2025 Education Excellence Award, a prestigious honor given to only 10 programs statewide by the SET SEG Foundation in partnership with the Michigan Association of School Boards. This award highlights innovative programs that make a significant impact on student learning.
Traditional Full-Day Kindergarten
- Children must be 5 years old by September 1st of the school year in which they plan on attending Kindergarten.
- Curriculum is based on the Michigan Standards for Kindergarten.
Young Fives
- Young Fives is a full day program designed for children turning 5 years old between June 1st and December 1st.
- Gives children an extra year before attending Kindergarten.
- The Young Fives curriculum is based on the Michigan Standards for Kindergarten modified to meet the foundational academic, social/ emotional, and developmental needs for younger children.
- Schools of Choice is available for both programs.
